Privacy Policy
This policy describes what SHT actually collects when you use this website, and why. It describes the system as it works today.

The account you create
To place an order you create an account with your phone number, a password and your name. An email address is optional. Your password is stored only as a cryptographic hash — SHT cannot read it.
Addresses and location
When you save a delivery address we store the recipient name, phone number, address line and city. If you place a pin on the map, we also store its coordinates so the delivery can find you. Your device's location is only read when you press "use my current location", and it is used in your browser to centre the map and to sort branches by distance — it is not sent anywhere by that feature.
Orders
When you place an order we keep the items, quantities, prices at the time of ordering, the delivery address and zone, and the order's status history. Orders are Cash on Delivery, so SHT does not collect or store any card or bank details.
Wishlist, alerts and comparisons
If you save a product to your wishlist, ask for a price-drop or back-in-stock alert, or save a comparison, we store that against your account so it is there when you return.
Cookies
This site uses cookies for two things only: keeping you signed in, and remembering your language and currency choice. There are no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Analytics
SHT records how this website is used, on SHT's own servers and nowhere else. That record includes the pages you open, the products you look at, the words you type into search, the filters and comparisons you use, and the steps you take through the cart and checkout. When you are signed in it is linked to your account, so it is a record of what you did and not only of what was done. When you are not signed in it is grouped by a temporary identifier that is created in your browser and disappears when you close the tab. SHT staff read it as figures in an internal dashboard, alongside figures taken from the orders themselves. No third-party analytics or advertising service is used on this website, and none of this is sent to one. The SHT mobile app records the same kinds of use in the same way: the words you search for, the products you view, add to your cart or open from a campaign, and the screens you visit. It sends them to SHT's own servers only, linked to your account while you are signed in. Signed out, they are grouped by a temporary identifier that is kept only in the app's memory and is renewed after the app has been in the background for 30 minutes. No device advertising identifier is read, and nothing is used to track you across other companies' apps or websites.
Who else sees your data
Map tiles are served by OpenStreetMap, so your browser requests them directly and OpenStreetMap sees that request. Nothing about your account, cart or orders is shared with them, and SHT does not sell your data.
